End of Week 1!

With the first week behind us, it is time to assess the neighborhood's situation.

I've achieved an alien birth, there are two vampires in town, and the plant sim is as close to nature as she'll ever be. All that's left now is to get the Leader of the Pack to bite a chunk off of Lyan and to let Irshay finally complete his grand project.

So see ya'll in next week's frozen winter!

PlantSim-Week 1

From the reports of an FDA Inspector on Silah Zema's Farm

First time I showed up to the farm was when Zema was just getting started. She bought this small, brick house on a large plot of land. The house was a total dump, mind you; I wouldn't live there for free. But the land is great. Very, very fertile.

She cleared up a bit of it for planting, but it was probably too much for her. I doubted if she could plant and tend to that many plants.

Still, everything was in order, so I approved her farm. I told her I'd be back once her plants started growing.

When I came back a few weeks later, her farm was looking much better. She was tending to half of the prepared plots with no trouble at all, although she had some sort of bug infestation.

She got this pesticide from her neighbor, who was apparently a scientist of some type. Irshaw, Irshay, something like that. I asked her for a sample, so that I could test it out. What I found was astonishing: The pesticide was highly radioactive. Probably not harmful to the plants, and ingeniously designed to become inert after a few minutes. But she would have to take extreme precautions when actually spraying it, or else something bad could happen to her.

Intending to warn her, I drove back to the farm as fast as I could. But by the time I got there, I was too late. Her sprayer malfunctioned, sending radioactive spray everywhere. I couldn't approach until the air had cleared and the radioactivity decayed, but when I did, I was horrified.

Something very, very bad had happened. Somehow, Silah Zema's body changed from flesh to vegitation.

I couldn't allow her to keep selling her produce on the general market. For all I knew, the ground itself was infected by this radioactivity. I did help her find some private buyers who were willing to take the risk, though. So Zema kept on working, and her garden prospered.

Zema was changed. She no longer needed food, replacing it with sunlight and water. She not longer needed rest, and tending to her plants was all the entertainment she needed.

Frost, however, could still harm her. So as winter rolled around, she built a greenhouse where she could grow her plants twenty four hours a day.

Werewolf Family-Week 1

I'm back! Sorry about the delay and the short update, but it's setting things up for next week. Playing this family took the fun out of TS2, mostly because of the freaking vacation... Those things are boring! But hopefully, I'll be able to keep to a schedule from now on...

From  Lyan Deppiesse's Description of Life in Trannsylvania, as described by her close friend

The last time I saw Lyan? Oh sure, I remember it well. It was about a year after she moved to Trannsylvania. She was happy. Really happy. She just got married, if I remember right. Let's see...

Lyan moved to Trannsylvania after her fiancee broke of the engagement last-minute. Come to think about it, I haven't seen him since right about the time that Lyan disappeared... Huh. Anyways, Lyan really fell in love with the neighboorhood.

She met this guy, Leo, on a blind date. Maybe it was because she was still hurt by her fiancee, but things moved pretty quickly for them. They got married very fast.

They went on a honeymoon after that, and I haven't heard from them since they came back. I wonder what could have happened...

Oh yeah, the last time I saw her, she kept on talking about this one dog. I have no idea if that means anything to you, but she seemed kind of obsessed...

Robot Family--Week 1

Note: This update is rather short, as nothing really happened. However, I will be posting a video about this family soon, so this family should be somewhat ineresting.

IRSHAY ROBOTICS, QUARTERLY REPORT

Our company has acquired a small suburban home where the company's lead inventor and owner, Albert Irshay,
will be able to develop and produce robots.

For the first two weeks, the only robots that were produced were intended as amusement devices. These robots sold well enough to allow Irshay to develop new types of robots.

These new robots were made for more practical functions, including cleaning and gardening. The new CleanBot model has been built and tested.

Early testing has shown this robot to work very well.

The gardening model will be created and tested soon, along with new prototypes for security robots.

Vampire Family--Week 1

From the Journal of Vlad Alucard

Entry 1

Vladamir Alucradiouso is too long of a name for America. Perhaps it worked in my native Russia, but amongst the Jacks, the Bills, and the Joes, I would be out of place. So I have changed my name to Alucard. Vlad Alucard.

Returning to America is the best decision that I have ever made. My father, a Russian diplomat, brought me here when I was three. At seventeen, we moved back to Russia. But now that I have returned, I feel like I am home again.

I bought a home in a small town called Trannsylvania, where I decided to work as a police officer at the local station.

This neighboorhood's homeowner's association sent a group of the locals to welcome me. One of them, a lass named Calista, has caught my eye, and I have caught her eye right back.

My, Americans move fast! Just this evening, we went on a very romantic date downtown, at a local establishment called the Crypt. Odd name, and quite gloomy from the outside, but the interior is quite nice.

Of course, Calista made sure to inform me that our relationship was not exclusive. I decided, therefore, to use this opportunity to meet other people and enjoy myself.

As it turns out, I am quite a talented D.J. Aliana, who is another of the locals, albiet quiet a formal one, told me so. We started talking, and I found out that she was my neighbor back in the Old World. A Romanian, in fact.

She seemed interested in a romantic relationship, but I am quite sure that I did not let her believe such a relationship was possible. We agreed to meet again, however.

Entry II

My relationship with Calista has developed quite well over the past few weeks. Nearly every night we go on a date.

She is a far more frequent guest at my house now. It is almost as if she moved in. She's there when I leave for work in the morning, and I pick her up from her house on the way home.

Perhaps I will ask her to move in soon.

I have asked Aliana over. I'm going to tell her that we cannot meet anymore. Ah, that's her now. I'll add another entry later.

The rest of the pages are written in a rusty red ink that almost looks like blood.

Entry III

Perhaps I should start at the beginning. After Aliana arrived, we started talking about our relationship. I told her of my relationship with Calista, and that I must not see her anymore. One minute she was a normal, if rather pale woman.... And the next she exploded with fury, baring long fangs. At first I was struck with terror, but soon a strang, deathly calm overtook me...

And then she exploded again. I felt a sharp pain in my neck, and then nothing.

When I woke up, she was long gone... And I was no longer human.

As the sun rose, I realized how vulnerable I was. Recalling the legends I had heard while staying on my grandparent's farms, I dived under my bed. It's cramped here. In a few hours, though, it should be dark enough for me too come out...

Entry IV

For the last two days, I have hidden myself from the outside world. But no more. My new nature is NOT a curse. I must not let myself feel that way. It is a blessing. The blood of mere mortals is a small price to pay for my immortality.

I hired a company to quickly build a shack to hold my car, along with a coffin. During the day, I shall sleep in my coffin. When it's time to go to work, I will use my specially-made car to get to the police station. I must not leave my job. When I start feeding, I will need the police's influence...

The good news is that I finally showed Calista my new nature. To my surprise, she accepted me as I was. In fact, she wanted to join me among the ranks of the immortals.

Who am I to refuse her?

Entry V

Vampirism effecting my patience. No time to write, can think only of blood.

Married Calista. Calista may be pregnant.

Alien Family--Week 1

The following is a transcript from the Coast to Beach AM show. In this episode, Artty Belly is interviewing Eddie Taylor, a man who claims to have been abducted by aliens.

Belly: Hello America! This is the Coast to Beach show and as always, I am here to give you the truth. Here with us today is notable Field Researcher and UFOlogist Eddie Taylor. According to Eddie, he was recently abducted by aliens, who... Well, I'll allow him to tell the story himself.

Taylor: Well, it all started back in the early nineties. I was a young man back than, and had my whole life in front of me. But I dropped out of college in order to find the truth about alien visitations to our planet.

Belly: What happened next?

T: Well, for many years I couldn't find the proof I was looking for. I knew there were too many stories that matched each other perfectly for them to be random drivel, but I had no proof. So I gave up the alien hunting bit, and started consulting for Hollywood movies. I was the guy who drew the first concept pictures of the space cubes in The Day the Earth Stood Almost Still, for example. Eventually I saved enough to get my own place... And I build an AOD.

B: An AOD?

T: An Alien Observation Deck. Every night, I stood on it and looked through the telescope, trying to find some sort of sign of aliens. But I never did... Until I realized that I could signal to them by shining a light through my telescope.

B: Amazing! Did it work?

T: It did! One dark night, I saw a strange object flying through the air.

I could barely believe it. After all those years, I finally found aliens! But then, to my frustration, I lost the object as it flew right past me, perhaps a mile up in the air.

I was sorely dissapointed and about to leave my AOD and go home when I was suddenly blinded by a flash of light.

The next thing I remember is falling out of the sky and landing on the ground. I had traces of memories, of nasty green humanoid creatures with strange instruments and a strange toob hooked up to a stranger machine. That's all I remember.

B: Well, there you have it, folks--Eddie was abducted by aliens, and--

T: Just a minute! There's more! You see, as I returned to my normal routine, I noticed something strange. I was exhibiting the symptoms of a pregnancy!

The aliens had somehow imbued fetuses into my body, and after the normal human gestation period, I gave birth to...

B: Gave birth?! How?

T: You don't want to know.

In any case, I gave birth to two alien girls. Only they were not completely alien; they had some human features. I can only theorize that in order to cause my body to accept the pregnancy, the babies had to be imbued with human DNA. But the twins were more then aliens--they were my daughters.

They have been named Edda and Elly, and have both grown up to be beautiful toddlers.

I am worried, though. Why have the aliens chosen to implant me with their half-kin? Once the girls are old enough to be left alone, I will go and signal the aliens again. Perhaps this time, they will explain things in a more reasonable way.

That's it for the aliens! Tune in soon for some vampiric action (and not wimpy Twilight vampires. I'm talking real horror-movie stuff!)

This page will feature an index... eventually.

Rules

Welcome to Trannsylvania, a small town somewhere in Northern California. (No relation to the region of Romania with a similar name). Two years ago, a planned community was built here. But like any small town, this one has its secrets...

THE CHALLENGE: Babale's Paranormal Variant for the Prosperity Challenge

RULES:

This challenge is based off of the Prosperity Challenge. However, it is geared towards the paranormal. Instead of rolling for the number of families, you will start with 5. Each family will have only one adult sim, either male or female (with one exception). Each one of the 5 families will follow its own rules, as detailed bellow. When a family’s heirs grow up, they can be sent off to their own houses. They must still follow the original rules.

If you are missing the expansion pack for one or more of these families, you can make up your own paranormal families.

The challenge ends when all 5 families have gone through 5 (Or ten for servos) generation. So, the founder’s kid’s kid’s kid’s kid has his first child.

On Mixing Families:
Each family is only allowed to marry its own type. However, this rule may be broken… see bellow.

If a vampire, werewolf, alien, or plantsim leaves his family (for example, by marrying a member of another family) then he is treated as being familyless. You may still play him, but he is no longer eligible for marriage with any other family.

Servos are the exception. They may move in with anyone they like without invalidating their new homeowner’s validity. However, that servo is no longer considered part of the servo family.

On Other Paranormals:
I didn’t add a zombie family, or a witch family, or a bigfoot family because I felt that zombies and bigfeet are too limited while witches are best suited to overlap with other families. However, if you’re short on expansions and don’t have 5 families, go ahead and make up your own.

With the vanilla challenge, however, zombies, witches, and bigfoots are unrestricted.

NOTE: Many of these families say that the Founder must become whatever paranormal creature he will become within the first week. If you don’t make it, that’s fine. Just try to finish in the first week.

1) Alien Family
NOTE: Since all baby aliens are related to the Pollination Tech, you are required to use some sort of hack, cheat, or SimPE to sever family ties between each male alien baby and the Poly Tech. I would really rather not force people to use hacks and if anyone has a better way, please leave a comment.

NOTE: Unlike the other families, this family must have its starting sim be a male.
The starting sim will be the male founder. All other family members will be produced by alien abduction. No member of this family, including the founder, may ever marry or move in any non-alien sim. The only exception is if the family grows enough that there are pure-blood aliens (one male alien parent, impregnated by abduction) so far from each other that they may interact romantically. In this case, two aliens may marry, have kids, etc. These kids are considered valid family members.
No alien sim may ever try for baby with a non-alien sim. They are from a different planet, after all. Humans are more likely to succeed in having kids with an ear of corn!

2) Vampire Family
The founder must become a vampire in the first week.
All other family members must become vampires on the day that they move in OR on the day that they become teenagers if they will be going to university OR on the day that they become adults if they will not be going to university. Vampires may only marry other vampires.
Once a week, one non-vampire, non-servo, and non-plant sim must be killed for each vampire member of the family. This is considered “feeding”. This sim does not need to live in the vampire’s household. He may be killed with cheats or through any ingame mean you wish, but his tombstone must be kept on the lot at least until the next sim is killed. If a vampire does NOT kill a sim during the week, he must be killed. (If this is just too hard to keep up with, it’s ok to kill a sim every two weeks. Try it, though; all you need to do is talk to a random person walking by and invite him in.)
The vampire family may never call the police to confront burglars, as the cops may discover where all the missing people are!

3) Servo Family
By the time the founder is an elder, he must have built his first servo.
Every family member must also be a servo. Subsequent servos can be build by the founder or by other servos.
The founder can invite people to move in with him and even have kids, but they are not part of the family. They are treated as townies insofar as other families are concerned. They may freely move into servo homes, however.
In order for the challenge to end, the servos must reach generation 10, instead of five like other families. This means Founder needs to build Servo 1, servo 1 needs to build Servo 2, and so on until Servo 10. If Servo 1 builds multiple Servos, any of them may be treated as Servo 2.
Servos may be sold to other families.

4) Werewolf Family
The Founder must become a werewolf by the time he is an elder.
All family members must become werewolves by the time they are teens.
Each household in this family must have at least 1 dog. No household in this family may have a cat.
While in werewolf form, sims
Werewolves may only marry other werewolves. All sims that move in to a werewolf household must be werewolves first.
No police while anyone is in werewolf form!

5) Plantsim Family
Founder must be a plantsim by the time he is an elder.
plantsim within a week. (So prepare ready-to-spray plots before moving anyone in!)
Spore babies do not count towards the generation count. Instead, they are treated as if they were the original. (So the founder’s spore baby IS the founder).
Any sim born in the family must become a plant sim within a week of becoming an adult.
Plant sims may only marry other plant sims.
Plant sim’s households may only contain a small house. The house may never be larger than 10X10. A greenhouse can be as large as is wanted, however.
Plant sims may never work on a job. They may only garden or fish or do any other in-home activity.
 Home businesses are allowed.
